The July WV retreat was WONDERFUL! It was more
than what I could have ever expected and fantastically
exceeded my expectations, and I already know that I'll be
attending next years retreat also! You, Dr. Africa and all
the other Master health Gurus in attendance made this
occasion a true blessing onto all those attending. The
food was nurturing, healing, & delicious. The retreat was
beautiful...the land, buildings, and overall scenery was
very healing in and of itself. Our classes and activities
where well put together and created a wonderful holistic
experience. My favorite experience this past weekend
was definitely the sweat. I have never sweated before and
stayed all 4 rounds, and even made contact through
'totems' with my ancestors. It was beyond words how I felt
in the 'womb' of earth amongst other healers and
conscious brothers & sisters, healing, chanting, singing,
crying, ASCENDING all together! What an experience!!!
Thank you AKUA for providing us with such wonderful
classes and information, and I continue to look forward to
what's next to come!

To meet you at last was indeed a pleasure however, I am writing to let you know how much I enjoyed the retreat; the
classes were excellent without a doubt. Your class in particular was perfect and your presentation was so smooth, so
informative; so calm and to the point; one could not help but learn. I am so very proud of you my sister. I have taught
many classes including many of your points on business however, I learned a lot from you.
The brothers and sisters were all so beautiful, so warm and kind. My praises to the Chef and her wonderful
personality; the food was beyond excellent, a well designed menu. I am used to more seasoning but still I loved the food
choices and the food itself; I learned a lot and have repeated the menu at home. As usual Dr. Afrika was beyond words;
I think he knows I value him highly; he carries a wealth of information wherever he goes. I was never so proud as to be
in the presence of my young brothers and sisters of such great accomplishment such as Dr. Menzise, Assata with her
beautiful aura and I enjoyed her Reiki class; meeting Paul was just the best as he is truly a jewel; everyone was just
great and the experience is one of a life time and shall not be forgotten.
I loved being in the mountains; ... I enjoyed the beauty of West Virginia and the magnificent property with its unique
and generous houses, invaluable land, fantastic art carvings, paintings and statues. It was a first to see the 400 year old
tree; if only it could talk.
I look forward to being in your classes again and again. My family speaks of you with high regards.Once again, thank
you and your staff for a great retreat.

Our Advanced retreat was absolutely life changing! It has been such a pleasure learning from Dr. Afrika, you, as well
as all of my fellow Nubian classmates. If I were to describe the beauty and magnitude of that weekend, you'd be
reading for days. I do know that I felt at home during each part of our training. Thank you for bringing such great
information, & fantastic healers, to the retreat. I feel that I am armed with an incredible amount of knowledge that I
WILL use to uplift my (our) community. I give thanks to you again for your awesome course on Holistic Business!
WOW...Khamatic Yoga, Reiki, Sweat Lodge, Aromatherapy course, the Vegan meals..I'm not sure what I'll miss the
most!!!! I do know that our lesson on raw food preparation has changed my life forever...(I'm a 100% raw foodist) The

This e-letter is to give my personal testimony for the extraordinary "2008 Advance Naturopathic Training Retreat with
Dr. Llaila O. Afrika at the beautiful Spirit Sanctuary, Meadow Bridge, West Virginia" that your organization, "A Life
of Peace Wellness Institute" hosted.
I feel that this retreat is a must for Afrakan traditional holistic healers, priests, priestesses, thinkers and all of those
whose vision is to recapture, regain, maintain and sustain the best of true Afrakan holistic living that will empower
your personal universe and as a result impact and influence all other universes that we each represent.
I had been seeking an opportunity to take Dr. Afrika's advance training since I graduated from his holistic health
consultant certification in 2005. The dates conflicted until now. Thank you for being a "Wellness Warrior" and giving
me and each of us this opportunity.
Every workshop exceeded my expectations. Every Teacher & Practitioner was well qualified and prepared. Each teacher
& practitioner went beyond their technical expertise, "know-how" and call to duty by showing genuine, personal care
and love for each participant in a professional, Afrakan way. I appreciate each of them, even those that I did not
personally meet or attend their sessions, yet I witnessed how they treated others.
The workshops that I was able to attend were: all of Dr. Afrika's, Holistic Business 101, Ra Sehki, Ari Ankh Ka,
Essential Oils, Belly Dancing, Het Heru Healing Dance, Raw Food Preparation. I am able to actively apply the essences
of all of these workshops personally and professionally. Our business, Black Gold Sacred Living Per Ankh (House of
Life), will be re-accessing our services and products to align with the best practices that Dr. Afrika and your Holistic
Business 101 taught. This past weekend, I used healing principles taught in Raw Food Prep (Modupe), Essential Oils
(Sister Zatiti Ema), Ra Sehkmti & Ari Ankh Ka (Sister Kajara), Belly Dancing (Sister Zatiti Ema) & Het Heru
Healing Dance (Dr. Akua & Sister Ramona) in our "Divine Sisters Gathering" in New Jersey. In our workshop in New
York, we added aspects of Dr. Afrika's teachings on medical astrology and cultural healing principles. Dr. Akua, this is
just the beginning.
Transportation with Brother Paul and Sister D'Mona were heaven sent. It is because of them both that I and others
were able to experience the Retreat and I am able to write this testimony. Blessings to them.
