Holistic Childbirth Educator Training

Learn how to support birthing folks from conception to new born care!

Birth Education is a necessary, yet often missing aspect of the Child Birthing experience for families. As a Holistic Childbirth Educator, you will be able to inform birthing families about practices in both in and out of hospital settings. You will be able to educate them on normal physiological pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum, along with offering Holistic Support through Traditional African practices.

Childbirth Education is for the whole family, and learning these tools will empower and reinforce knowledge, whether you are a seasoned Birthworker or gaining new information yourself.

This course is for anyone interested in learning how to navigate medical practices in the west or in (Ghana), through a Birth Justice and Trauma informed lens. From how to support non-medicated or medicated birth choices, to postpartum care for optimum recovery for birthing persons and their babies. This course is a fusion of Tradition and Skilled compassionate care.

Help Birthing families reduce anxiety and stress, know the rights over their birth, and prepare for the transition home of their new addition to their family.

You will be prepared to support families in making the best choice for their individual needs.

We will cover:

  • Conscious Conception: how to support families who are Trying to Conceive: traditional, non-tradition, LGBTQIA+ affirming

  • Prenatal Support through 1-3 Trimesters

  • Birth and Labor Signs, Symptoms and concerns

  • Birth Rights

  • Postpartum 4th Trimester Support

  • New Born support & Care

  • Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support: Abortion, Miscarriage, Stillbirth, Infant death

Gain knowledge that informs, educates and empowers families to make better decisions for a holistic birth experience.

This course is a Continued Educational Course for trained Birthworkers but can also serve as a preliminary course as well. You will learn how to compile what you’ve learned with what you already know, into an inclusive course for your clients.
